EMG JH/SET-G James Hetfield Signature Humbucker Set- Gold -NEW

Born from a bold vision and over three decades of tone-shaping legacy, the EMG JH Set was developed in direct collaboration with Metallica frontman James Hetfield to deliver a truly unique tonal weapon. Hetfield’s request was simple but ambitious: “We have to make something unique and historic... It’s stealth, it’s sleek, it’s fast looking…” The result? A set that captures the punch and clarity of a passive pickup while retaining the power and edge of EMG’s active electronics.

The JH-N (neck) pickup features individual ceramic pole pieces and oversized bobbins for greater attack, increased output, and a deeper, fuller low end. Meanwhile, the JH-B (bridge) uses a similar core but swaps in steel pole pieces for tighter attack and a cleaner, more focused low end—offering an articulate, defined tone with less inductance than EMG’s classic 81.

Now available with EMG’s stunning Metal Works finish, these pickups combine brutal power with a refined aesthetic. Choose from six USA-made stainless steel cap options—including Gold—for a bold visual upgrade to match their sonic force.
