The Novation Impulse 49 USB MIDI controller offers comprehensive control for your digital audio workstation (DAW) with expressive and precise features. It features a highly responsive semi-weighted keyboard with assignable aftertouch for musical expression. The controller includes 9 faders, 8 rotary knobs, 8 backlit performance pads, dedicated/assignable buttons, transport controls, and an LCD screen for efficient DAW and plug-in control.

The semi-weighted keybed of the Impulse 49 is designed to feel like a musical instrument, providing effective communication of musical expression to your DAW. The controller is equipped with multi-function, backlit drum pads that allow for beat rolling, arpeggio warping, clip launching in Ableton Live, and enhanced control over complex DAW setups.

Designed and tested to work with all major DAWs and plug-in instruments/effects, including Ableton Live (Lite included with Impulse), Cubase, Logic, ProTools, Reason/Record, Sonar, FL Studio, Studio One, and GarageBand. Automap 4 control software provides immediate hands-on access to your DAW and plug-ins, including third-party options like Native Instruments, Waves, or FXpansion. The Impulse 49 also integrates with Ableton Live for control over Scene Launch and Clip Launch using its back-lit drum pads.

Additionally, the Novation Impulse 49 comes with a collection of software and sounds, including Ableton Live Lite. Upon registration, users can choose a free XLN Addictive Keys virtual instrument, such as Modern Upright, Studio Grand, Electric Grand, or Mark One.
