DiMarzio’s DP102 the X2N® is an extremely high-output humbucker pickup designed to deliver intense and aggressive tones. It features twin wide-bar pole pieces for a menacing appearance and is meant to push tube amplifiers into extreme overdrive. When placed in the bridge position of a guitar, it produces a blistering and powerful sound that adapts to the guitar's inherent characteristics, enhancing warm tones or making bright ones scream. The X2N® is versatile, allowing for single-coil and series-parallel modes with added authority compared to weaker humbuckers. This pickup is ideal for situations where maximum power and overdrive are needed and pairs well with other high-output pickups like the Fast Track 1™, The Chopper™, and Pro Track™. Additionally, its split coil option mimics the performance of many Strat®-type pickups, providing a balanced and even sound.
