The Jackson X Series Soloist SL3X DX Crackle is a cutting-edge electric guitar that combines modern construction and materials with a striking solidbody design that combines classic shred styling with modern high-performance features. It features new Frost Byte Crackle and Yellow Crackle finishes, adding to its molten metal style. The basswood body is contoured for comfort, and the neck-through-body construction ensures excellent sustain and smooth playability up to the 24th jumbo fret. The maple neck is reinforced with graphite rods for added stability and protection. The laurel fingerboard has a 12"-16" compound radius, allowing for easy chording and smooth lead playing.
Equipped with a powerful trio of Jackson pickups, including high-output mini rail humbuckers in the middle and neck positions, and a high-output humbucker in the bridge position, the SL3X DX Crackle offers a wide range of tones with harmonics and dynamic responsiveness. The guitar has simple controls, with a single volume and tone control, along with a five-way blade switch for pickup selection. The recessed Floyd Rose Special double-locking tremolo bridge system allows for expressive dive-bombing while ensuring precise tuning stability.
