Velocity sensitivity via MIDI enhances expressiveness, while the 16-step sequencer, Motion Sequence function, and onboard reverb and chorus effects facilitate easy programming and sequencing. With 32 onboard sound storage slots and a Parameter List Guide, sound design is intuitive. MIDI and programming options open up fresh applications of the DX7 sound, with velocity sensitivity and randomization adding new dimensions to performance and sound design.
